MALVERN Town went out of the Worcestershire FA Senior Urn with a 3-1 defeat at Studley BKL last night.
Town dominated for long periods, but missed a catalogue of chances.
The Midland Alliance side took the lead with a well-worked goal after 10 minutes.
Town soon got into their stride and might have equalised on a number of occasions.
But in the 10 minutes prior to half time, defender Pete Roberts sustained a shoulder injury which briefly reduced Town to 10 men and while trying to re-organise, they were hit by two strikes in as many minutes, giving them a mountain to climb.
Town dominated the second half but had to wait until 84 minutes before pulling one back, Ricky Halion sco-ring with a shot from the edge of the box.
