BRAVE Chaddesley Corbett fought back to earn a second much-needed North Midlands Three win of the season with a 10-8 beating of Essington.
The home side dominated the early exchanges but fell behind to a penalty before securing a 5-3 lead.
Centre Adam Jones ran 22 metres to force himself over the line for the only try of the first half despite desperate attempts by both teams.
The visitors regained the lead early in the second half with an unconverted try following a 30m scrum.
And it spurred Chaddesley on as they camped in their opponents' 22 for the rest of the match.
Their reward came 10 minutes from the end when Stuart Postins forced his way over and the visitors' scrum-half was later sin-binned for stamping.
The hard-fought win moves Chaddesley two places up in the league to fifth.
Chaddesley U-7s played three mini-rugby games with Wolverhampton, winning 40-30 and 25-10 but losing the second 30-20.
Declan Hadleigh's aggressive running caught the eye in the first game, while James Whitehouse and Hayley Evans chipped in with magnificent tries.
Louis Ellsmore, Sam Smith and Jasmine McEwan all had excellent games.
Whitehouse, Sam Wilson, McEwan and Ellsmore scored in the losing match but the final clash saw Sam Needham and Smith run in all the tries.
