STAGING a first home match for several weeks, Rangers were denied victory by a couple of goalline clearances.

The Peopleton goalkeeper produced a series of fine stops in the first half and it was the visitors who took the lead against the run of play.

However, player of the match Dale Attwood set up James Muddiman for the equaliser from a corner but a winner wasn't forthcoming.

Pershore Tn U-11 3, Campden 1

TOP of the league Campden looked like maintaining their unbeaten record in the Ambassador Evesham League when they took an early lead.

However, Town hit back through Sam Hopkins to level before the break and then rise to the challenge after it with further goals for hat-trick hero Hopkins.

Peopleton U-14 4, Pershore Tn 0

EXCELLENT defending from Marc Kings helped repel Pershore in a goalless opening half.

Peopleton came more into the game after the interval and a well-executed effort from Ross Sailes finally broke the derby deadlock.

Provider Alex Spencer then doubled his side's lead - a cushion that helped relax the hosts and allowed Luke Frankum to make it 4-0 with a brace.

Badsey Rgrs U-8 4,

Drakes Broughton 1

THERE were four different marksmen as Rangers eased to a comfortable win.

Andrew Tolkien was first on target and it was 2-0 when Alex Trotman also found the net after fine defending from goalkeeper Louis Sutton and Matt Andrews denied Drakes.

David Stanley and Shaun Cook doubled the advantage after half-time before John Dolan grabbed Broughton's consolation.

Badsey Rgrs U-15 5, Lakeside A 3

THERE were thrills at both ends of the field before Dan Willmot's second half brace secured Badsey's win.

A dipping volley from Sam Linley gave Rangers the lead and the same player scored again to make it 2-1 after Lakeside had levelled.

Aaron Young's angled drive made it 3-1 before Willmot's brace finally undid Lakeside's resolve in an action-packed contest.

Tom Willmot was named Badsey's player of the match.

Evesham Colts U-16 4,

Habberley Hawks 1

HAWKS had their feathers ruffled as Tim Beattie's hat-trick brought an end to their unbeaten record.

Mark Evans shocked the table toppers early on before player of the match Beattie, who led the attack with a powerful display, turned on the style to help Evesham claim a notable scalp.

Salford Rvrs U-14 3, Evesham Colts 2

ROVERS fell behind in the first minute when Will Gayton scored and it was the visitors who went on to dominate the first half.

However, they failed to add to their tally and Tom Barber levelled after the restart.

Ryan Ellis and goalkeeper Richard Print both stood out in a solid Salford back line and their efforts were rewarded when Shaun Stevens struck twice to make it 3-1.

Colts fought back bravely but only had a Matty Smith strike to show in their narrow reverse.

Littleton Jnrs U-11 3, Bredon Hawks 2

LITTLETON continued their winning ways despite Bredon having the better of the first half when they were repeatedly denied by excellent goal keeping by Jack Dell.

A transformed Littleton immediately put pressure on the Bredon goal in the second period and were soon rewarded when a Grant Court corner was volleyed into the top corner by Jake Nightingale.

Russell Gardner soon added a second and a great solo goal by Nightingale made it 3-0.

Bredon never gave up and hit back with goals from Craig Johns and Danny Klaiber. Intense pressure followed and only a number of fine saves by Dell ensured Juniors took all the points.

Littleton Jnrs U-12 7, Evesham Utd 2

JUNIORS welcomed back Dan Keen and he was soon in action crossing for Matt Smith to head home at the near post.

Keen then scored himself and Ryan Clarke's cross then found George Barber who scored with his customary coolness.

Keen's corner was flicked on by Josh Craze for Clarke to thump in a header but Evesham hit back when Mike Carter broke free to beat Sam Bastow.

Littleton increased their lead just before half-time when Phil Davis got a touch on to a Smith free-kick.

The second half saw Littleton squander a number of chances before Barber struck.

Evesham again reduced the deficit through Steve Honeysett but Steve Edghill then produced the goal of the game when he bent a free-kick around the wall to complete the scoring.

Evesham Utd Robins U-11 0

ROBINS struggled to get their passing game going in a lacklustre performance.

In an even first half, they failed to find a telling final ball and their opponents took the lead when a harmless cross found an unmarked forward who made no mistake.

Robins started the second period more positively and created several half chances, but it was Goodrest who increased their lead.

Robins continued to pressurise and looked certain to reduce the arrears when Jack Wood rounded the keeper only to see his effort stopped on the line. Player of the match James Martin pressed forward and released Lewis Ridley whose fierce drive flew over the bar.

A fine save late on by substitute keeper Charlie Middlicott kept United in the game but they were unable to pierce a solid defence.

Peopleton 1, Littleton Jnrs U-9 5

LITTLETON continued their great form with a hard earned victory.

Wesley Burden started the scoring and within minutes Nathan Brain had made it 2-0.

In the second half Jack Jeffery continued the scoring but Peopleton stayed determined and, despite hard tackling from the visitors, David Jubb got one back.

Peopleton then pushed forward and goalkeeper Tom Middleton was forced to make some great saves to keep his team ahead. Burden sealed the win with his hat-trick goal

Evesham Utd Robins U-9 8,

Pershore Town 2

ROBINS picked up three valuable points against their Ambassador League rivals.

Daniel Francis opened the scoring with a fine run and shot, but Pershore battled back to equalise through Luke Jones.

Josh Downey restored Evesham's lead after a good dribble and a Pershore own goal made it 3-1.

An excellent four-man move was finished off by David Stringer to make it 4-1 at half-time.

After the break the goals continued to flow with Evesham producing some good passing play. Downey scored his second from a corner, before Jones replied in kind for Pershore.

Downey then completed his hat-trick with a fine dribble and finish before a Mark Washington tap-in and long shot from Elliott Grady finished off the scoring.

Evesham Utd U-13 5, Littleton 0

JAMES White fired Evesham into an early lead that soon became 2-0 when Jamie Kerr finished off a good passing move.

Liam Scrivens was left unmarked in the Littleton penalty area to head a third, before Jamie Miles made it four before the break.

The second half was more open with Littleton coming more into the game but Evesham added a fifth through Mitchell White.

Evesham Utd U-8 1, Elmley Castle 2

AN EARLY goal from Wolfie Papernik gave Elmley the advantage which they held on to in the first half despite coming under heavy pressure.

Evesham levelled matters early in the second half but Papernik then scored a superb second goal from halfway.

Excellent goalkeeping from Liam Charlton denied Evesham the chance to level again as the visitors came away with a well deserved win.

Evesham Utd U-12 5, Eynsham Boys 2

DAVID Huggins gave Evesham the lead with a simple tap-in after a mere 18 seconds but it was Lance Smith who took the scoring honours with a four-goal haul.

Sean Henney levelled for the Oxfordshire visitors from 25 yards before Smith took control.

Having completed his hat-trick, the striker saved his best until last after the visitors had made it 4-2 with a superb strike into the top corner.

Evesham Utd U-9 4, Severn City 0

ROBINS started well and a shot from Henry Woods went wide and Craig Whiting headed against a post .

It took a James Bearcroft shot to break the deadlock when he latched on to a Louis Brown pass.

It wasn't all one-way traffic, though, with Owen Jones coming to the rescue with last-ditch tackles and keeper Leon Ballard making a fine save.

A a second goal arrived after the restart when Bearcroft controlled the ball, flicked it up and hit an overhead kick on to the crossbar. Andrew Powell was on hand to convert the rebound.

Bearcroft scored a rasping third and Evesham scored a fourth when Woods before placed a shot into the bottom corner.

Littleton U-8 5, Peopleton 4

WITH both teams having large squads we played two separate games. The first saw a win for Littleton with Lewis Bastow scoring a hat-trick and Jordan Cowley and an own goal making up the tally.

Peopleton matched Littleton goal for goal and, with five minutes to go it was 4-4 only for but Littleton pressure to pay off with the winner.

Littleton U-8 3,Peopleton 3

THE second match saw Peopleton go 2-0 ahead early on thanks to Edward Hunt but Elle Parry-Reece replied after a goalmouth scramble then Sean Brain scored after a fine run.

Peopleton regained the lead through Daniel McConnell and, with both teams battling hard, it was Littleton who equalised through Sean Brain.

Littleton Colts U-11 2,

Drakes Broughton 1

JACK Phillpot snatched the winner to decide this closely-fought affair.

Drakes had earlier taken the lead only for Chris Handy to level before Littleton grabbed their crucial second.
