WHILE I applaud MP Dr Richard Taylor's efforts in respect of services at Kidderminster Hospital, I am surprised, and dismayed, at his lack of comment on firefighters' claims and strike action.
I have watched his Viewpoint column in the Shuttle/Times and News with interest over the past weeks to no avail - not a single word on this national issue, which will have a major local impact.
Are the fears of single issue politics sceptics to be realised? Has he insufficient interest or knowledge outside his own sphere of expertise to involve himself in the wider national issues affecting his constituents?
Yes, we all want services back at Kidderminster Hospital. Yes, the Bewdley flood defences are important. But surely the loss of four fire appliances, a water carrier, an environmental protection unit and off-road vehicles from Wyre Forest and their replacement by one Green Goddess is worthy of his interest and comment.
