A TREMENDOUS 3-2 win for Bewdley Town at leaders Hinton threw the West Midlands League Division One South title race wide open.
Bewdley are now just two points behind the Hereford club with three games in hand after two Chris Hough goals and one from John Maffei.
They took control from the start with Keith Elliott, Neil Turford and John Hardiman running midfield, allowing Matt Allsopp and Hough to cause trouble down the flanks.
The visitors went ahead on 20 minutes when Turford supplied Hough who skipped past two players and crossed for Maffei to find the net.
Bewdley went two ahead in the 35th minute when Maffei repaid the compliment with a cross for Hough to score.
Hard-working man-of-the-match Steve Mares created havoc in the second half.
Bewdley added to their tally on 75 minutes when Hardiman's pass released Hough to chip the keeper after his initial effort was saved.
Hinton fought back though with Matthew Williams heading home their first goal with 15 minutes left before Jones hammered another soon after.
Bewdley could have grabbed a fourth but Hough missed the target after a great run.
Mark Simmonds, who left the team bag in Hereford, took the muppet-of-the-week award.
Bewdley players are meeting at 1pm at Ribbesford Meadows for Saturday's match.
