POLICE have issued a warning to irresponsible drivers who are infuriating Stourport people.

Town PC Steve Wigham said there had been "a number of complaints" about illegally parked drivers in High Street causing traffic congestion and tailbacks often as far as the bridge over the River Severn.

He added: "Owing to the sheer volume of traffic coming through Stourport, it is essential to keep it flowing freely.

"We are reminding drivers that restrictions apply in the High Street. Any vehicle found to be illegally parked will be issued with a fixed penalty ticket."
