A POLICE raid on two Malvern homes uncovered stolen goods valued at more than £200,000.

Worcester police raided the homes on Tuesday, November 19, and arrested a man at each property on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

Both were released on police bail pending further investigations.

The property recovered included five Ifor Williams trailers, a mini-tractor, four petrol lawnmowers, a number of generators, seven bicycles, a quad bike, chainsaw, tree-cutting equipment and other items of garden equipment.

Officers also recovered a large quantity of cigarettes and their origins are also being traced.

"This successful operation has resulted in the seizure of a very large quantity of high value stolen goods and officers will now be tracing them to their rightful owners," said Det Con Mark Chappell, one of the investigation team.

"Operations like this are extremely rewarding, not only for the officers in the case, but also for the owners who have property returned.
