Bromsgrove village residents have been given new grit bins with a twist.
Worcestershire-based artists Alexander Johnson and Nina Coulson, from art group Yoke and Zoom, have created customised grit bins. These include a pair for Hagley Wood Lane, Clent.
One of the bins is labelled 'grit' and the other is labelled 'determination', to provide a visual pun for residents.
They are intended to benefit the community in a practical sense. But they also aim to inspire hope in rural areas hit by the foot and mouth crisis.
