IAN Britton is convinced Wyre Forest football followers don't realise how lucky they are to have a club like Kidderminster Harriers on their door-step.

The Harriers manager believes the stay-away fans are missing out on full value entertainment from his side which went into today's Nationwide League Division Three clash at Torquay United in second place in the table.

He stresses, however, that the team is not solely about himself or previous boss Jan Molby - 'it's Kiddy's team and people don't realise how lucky they are'.

He added: "We are a club that's still struggling to make ends meet, with a team riding high in the league, playing good football, who many thought would struggled to survive."

Despite Kidderminster's impressive climb into the play-off places this season they remain one of the worst supported clubs in the Football League.

Britton accepts the point that some people may say the side has been over achieving this term.

He said: "That comment is accurate when you think that Harriers have the smallest playing budget in the Football League. "I'd love to be able to go out and buy a player who can score one every two games for us, but we simply haven't got the money."

Britton, however, has turned to loan signings this term with Wolves trio Mark Clyde, John Melligan and Kenny Coleman all sampling the Aggborough action.

Clyde has now returned to Molineux while Coleman continues his spell with Harriers along with impressive midfielder Melligan who has so far hit the target six times in 10 outings for Britton's men.
