SPOOKY goings on are promised in Much Marcle from next weekend, in the latest production by Much Marcle Amateur Dramatic Society.
Laughter in the Dark, written by Victor Lucas, is a comedy set at Creeching Cheyney, a faded old mansion in Hampshire. The mansion has been left to the shy Herbert Budgett by his late uncle, complete with decrepit old butler, rodents and an assortment of spectres and ghosts.
Arriving at the mansion on Christmas Eve, Herbert and his nagging wife Alathea are joined by daughter Belinda, partner Clive and an assortment of other colourful characters for a night of scary comedic happenings.
The show at Much Marcle Village Hall runs from Thursday to Saturday, November 7-9, at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Much Marcle Post Office.
