BROMYARD Logics played hosts to Juniors B in Division Three in a very close fought match.

John Hunt was unbeaten in his singles and the doubles, in which he was partnered by Derek Craddock for the Logics, but he was taken to a fourth game by two of the younger players and the doubles went to 11-8 in the fifth. Anthony Wiseman and Matt Lang both won two and Tom James one for the B team giving them an equal share of the points. More than half the games were only won by two points and another six by three points.

Crackpots evening with Abbey-downe needed 36 games to decide the results with three sets going to five and another five to four.

Bill Lucas won one singles and the doubles with Peter Dennis, but Richard Cullis and Ed Palmer each won three matches and Stan Ginn two for the C team.

Juniors B were in sparkling form against Police and the first seven sets were won in straight games. The last three went to four games but all went in the B team's favour. Anthony, Mat and Tom were again the victorious players.

The Juniors C team were on the receiving end of two whitewashes when they played Nomads and the Abbey College. Against Nomads Colin Sage was unlucky because all his sets went to five games, but Geoff Davies, Kevin Howard and Adrian Fray proved too strong. Cyrus and the two Henry's were the winning Abbey College team.
