A CHANCE to have a say on the future of Pershore and take a free dip in the pool afterwards will be on offer at Pershore Leisure Centre.

Visitors to the Pershore Forum will be able to hear plans for the town's future from groups including the Civic Trust, Number 8, the Market Towns Partnership and the Town Council, joined by pupils from the High School.

Afterwards they will have the chance to talk to them and council officers and put their own views forward via suggestion boxes and graffiti boards.

BBC Hereford and Worcester presenter Mike George will host the event and everyone taking part can enjoy a free swim afterwards.

The forum, to be held from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, November 9, has been jointly set up by Wychavon District and Worcestershire County councils.

Wychavon's community planning officer, Robin Mace, said a similar forum in Evesham had brought forward a number of interesting topics.

"Now we are bringing the forum to Pershore so people can have the chance to see how we are working for the town's future," he said.

"And of course it's an opportunity for residents young and old to let us know if we are getting it right."

Information gathered on the day will be collated and will help in drawing up Wychavon's Community Plan, to improve the quality of life for residents.
