A RETIRED secretary with a history of depression was found dead by her husband after apparently shooting herself in the head, an inquest has heard.
Margaret Williams, 60, died at about 3pm on Saturday while Brian Williams had been working with machinery in the garden of their Chaddesley Corbett home.
"He went in to speak to his wife and found her lying on her back with a 12-bore shot gun by her," said Worcestershire coroner Victor Round, at the Stourport inquest.
"The shot gun had been discharged and she had got a very grave head injury.
"There is no reason to think anybody else is involved."
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
