THE winner of Bidford Gala Day's lucky prog-ramme draw went wild in the aisles of the village supermarket.
Barbara Osborn, from Birmingham, ably assi-sted by three members of the village's Christmas lights committee, had three minutes to fill her trolley with £100 worth of goods at Budgens' store in Salford Road.
The store donated the prize to the village's Gala Day, which is held on August Bank Holiday Monday every year to raise money for the village's Christmas lights, which are due to be switched on by an as yet unknown celebrity on Sunday, December 1.
Committee member Sonia Blick said: "She told us afterwards that it was the best thing she ever did."
