CHESS: Three defaults by Shifnal/Telford made Kidderminster's passage into the second round of the Pittaway Cup fairly effortless.
Kidderminster had to replace the ill Gerald Link with Paul Thomas but won 6.5-1.5 as Shifnal were without three players.
