PLANS for a £300,000 revamp of shop fronts and buildings in the town centre are to be taken forward as part of a major improvement programme.
The news follows the release of a town centre strategy and action plan which highlighted its weaknesses and strengths.
The restoration and improvement of buildings along Alcester Street, Market Place and Unicorn Hill was listed in the plan and is due to be implemented.
He added that since consultants Chesterton completed the strategy and action plan, many things highlighted had been done or were being implemented.
