A THIEF snatched a bag containing £500 which its owner had just won during a night out.
As the 60 year-old woman walked home over a footbridge by Grendon Close, Matchborough, on Friday, someone ran up behind her.
He grabbed her bag and, in a brief struggle before he ran off with the bag,the woman suffered minor bruising to her hand and arm.
The thief was white, about 5ft 2ins tall, of slim build and wore a grey hooded top and light grey trousers. Call police on 584888 or Crimestoppers, 0800 555111.
