WORCESTER YMCA has joined forces with local churches to invite young people to its supper parties at Henwick Road.
The suppers are designed to introduce local young people to the Alpha course, which provides an opportunity to explore the meaning of life.
"The Alpha course is a practical and contemporary introduction to the Christian faith and provides a relaxed and informal opportunity for participants to make up their own mind about Christianity," said Mel Smith, community programme co-ordinator at the YMCA.
"It is constructed around one meeting a week for 10 weeks and has become increasingly successful over the past six years."
The course, which is running on Sunday evenings at 7pm, started on Sunday, October 6.
"Worcester YMCA is pleased to be hosting the Alpha course. We are able to offer a neutral and relaxed venue," said David James, chairman of the board of trustees.
"It might be a bit scary for some people to go to a church but anyone can come to the YMCA."
Interested people are invited to attend the meetings at the YMCA building in Henwick Road, or to contact Mel Smith on 01905 423197.
