Seventies folk-blues band Lindisfarne will be bringing their recognisable sound and style to Huntingdon Hall.
The band, who first appeared out of Tyneside in the early 70s accomplished memorable songs and rootsy instrumentation.
They produced a clutch of hit records, and have since acquired cult status with Meet Me On the Corner, Lady Eleanor, Fog On The Tyne and Run For Home.
The euphoria generated by their live appearances everywhere, from small clubs to international festivals, won them a following large enough to see them placed above the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin in a Melody Maker readers' poll.
The 90s saw a reawakening of interest in roots-based unplugged music and Lindsifarne found a new generation of fans warming to their sound, hearing echoes of the folk-blues of an earlier generation.
The response to Lindisfarne's most recent album Here Comes The Neighbourhood has vindicated the band's determination to go their own way, and sees them acknowledged as creators of the cutting edge of their field.
n The band play the CrownGate venue on Thursday, October 17.
Tickets are £13, or £12 in advance.
