I WONDER what the many proud people that worked at Gordon Russells over the years would think of the state of the building now.
The listed frontage that was once the reception, showroom and museum are an utter disgrace to the memory of a once great institution that was the main employer of the area.
While planning permission is being sought I do think the owners should be made to maintain the frontage and keep up the appearance of the main street.
The only Beacon on a dowdy building is the slate nameplate stating GORDON RUSSELL. Rest in pieces I hope not.
