CHRISTMAS has come early for a Kidderminster firm, which won a prize for its festive wreath.
Beck the Flower, in Greatfield Road, took the prize in the annual British Christmas Tree Growers Association competition.
The results of the competition, which attracted 54 trees from all over the country, were announced on Friday, September 13, at the Honily Court Hotel, in Warwickshire.
Overall winner was John Agnew, from Suffolk, who will now donate a tree to 10 Downing Street for Christmas.
"The British Christmas Tree Growers Association has been donating the tree to 10 Downing Street for 25 years," said a spokeswoman.
"The competition was devised in 1998 to help the association decide which grower should provide the tree."
The awards are divided into four categories - fir, pine, spruce and wreaths.
Judges look for foliage quality, density, cleanliness and uniformity.
