Bredon Star 40pts, Pershore III 8

THE home side used their knowledge of the pitch and youth to good effect against Pershore who had ability but perhaps a few too many years of experience with over 130 years service at second row.

Pershore worked hard but as the game went on they started to allow gaps to appear for the home side to exploit at every opportunity.

Andy Brookes and Ray Smith both put in creditable displays and it was their efforts that kept the home side at bay and the scoring to a minimum in the first half with a Barry Connally penalty being the sole Pershore contribution.

The second half saw the home side edge forward and score regularly. The visitors, though, finally managed to get a controlled period of possession and started to make inroads into the home side's territory.

They were finally rewarded with a forward drive that saw the ever improving Damien May crash over the line to score an unconverted try just before the end of the game.
