THE Vale's own Avon Singers are urgently looking for new members.
The group, which raises money for charity, are seeking singers for all parts. The most recent performance the singers gave locally was at All Saints Church, Evesham, for Jubilee year and raised £250 for Friends of Evesham Churches and the Bell Tower.
More recently, the singers travelled to Llandrindod Wells in Wales to sing at the funeral of 22-month-old Catrin Edw-ards from Honeybourne who lost her battle against cancer.
Avon singers member, Jim Powell said: "We sang the madrigal Weep Oh Mine Eyes at the graveside and later the modern anthem Deep Peace, for friends and family."
He said a concert of carols is currently being arranged for Pershore Abbey in December, and next February the group is performing a small comic opera and choral music including modern spirituals and other items.
