Zero stars
Actor, singer and erm - songwriter, Steve Balsamo trod the boards of the West End before turning his attention to trying to make it as a pop star.
But a fleeting glance at the CD sleeve - in which he seems to be modelling for C&A - shows that this little project appears to be more about Steve and his stubble than Steve and his music.
Somewhere along the line he has been championed as a songwriter which is clearly very important for a serious artist of his calibre.
But sadly it is yet again that same old chart fodder you either love or hate.
Either way All I Am is a bunch of complacent tunes (ballads), pedestrian vocals (husky), feel good lyrics ('She's like the wind and falling rain' - what?) and sickly orchestrated backing.
It's 'muzak'. You've heard it a thousand times before and you'll hear it a thousand times again and it is so, so sad.
