ANDY Keast has made an impassioned plea for supporters to make themselves heard as Worcester go head to head with Exeter Chiefs on Saturday.

The Sixways coach is desperate for fans to make home advantage count in National One's match of the day (3pm).

A disappointing crowd of just over 2,000 turned up for Worcester's opening league game of the season against Orrell and Keast wants fans to support their club at Sixways.

"We won't have everything our own way on Saturday," he said. "Exeter are a good side and it is a big game for Worcester in the context of the season. But we are the home side and we want the supporters to help us on Saturday.

"We need their support and make the home advantage count. Sometimes in these big games it is the effort from the supporters which can turn the game.

"When we are under pressure, we will need the support from the crowd. It's all very well singing when the tries are being scored but what is vital is to get support when things are not going well."

Keast and director of rugby John Brain make two changes to the side which comprehensively beat Otley 62-24. Richard Nias drops out after a high tackle in Yorkshire while Craig Gillies turned his ankle this week in training and is unavailable.

Gavin Pfister, who played 60 minutes at Cross Green as Nias' replacement, starts at openside, while Martin Morgan is recalled at lock. Duncan Roke and Christian Evans have recovered from shoulder injuries.

"Overall, we were happy with the performance at Otley," added Keast. "Our finishing was high quality and the scrummaging good. Defensively, we've been working very hard this week."
