PARAMEDICS were called when Evesham United player Damion Quailey collapsed while travelling back on the team coach from Falmouth on Saturday evening.
The goalkeeper was taken off the vehicle unconscious and revived at the roadside after receiving initial treatment from club physio Phil Greenway.
"He told me that he had felt rough all morning," said manager Phil Mullen. "He got through the match all right but then became ill soon after we had to set off back."
Football secretary Mike Peplow added that the player was given sweets and chocolate but suffered further dizzy spells on the long trek home from the club's FA Cup win in Cornwall.
Happily, though, he telephoned his manager on Sunday to say that he was well although the cause of the problem has not been diagnosed.
