Littleton 1,

Leamington Hibernian 1

LITTLETON were made to pay for missed chances when Leamington Hibernian equalised with just two minutes to go to take a point which had seemed beyond them for much of the game.

Littleton were the more direct side in the opening half and after initial pressure almost took the lead on 15 minutes. Phil Haines, down the right, passed inside to Adie Wilde whose shot hit the bar and rebounded to Chris Bate who headed over.

Three minutes later Nicholas Burrows burst through, but his resultant shot was scrambled clear.

However, Leamington were not entirely passive and their best player Delroy Brown scored with s super shot from 18 yards but the goal was disallowed for a previous infringement.

The same player then brought a super save out of Hathaway in Littleton's goal forcing him to push a fierce shot around the post.

Littleton hit back and following a sweeping move involving six players, Wilde's shot skimmed the post.

The second half continued much the same, Littleton probably having the balance of play and looking dangerous, but Leamington had to be watched carefully especially when Brown had the ball.

Littleton had a goal disallowed for offside, before they took the lead in the 72nd minute. Wilde took the ball out on the left, beat two men and squared a perfect ball across the box for Darren Reeves to convert from close-range.

Littleton seemed able to hold out but substitute Liam Barry, in attempting a close-range shot, mishit the ball completely and the wicked bounce deceived the keeper and two defenders to somehow find its way into the net.
