AFTER falling behind early on, Colts hit back to lead at the interval courtesy of goals from Daryl Beattie and Matty Smith.

Welland soon made it 2-2 but Evesham pressure finally paid off after Will Gayton and Smith had both struck wood when Phil Edgeworth converted a penalty after a foul on Pat Watson.

Worcester City 2

COLIN Hateley bagged his first goals for the club as the Robins made a flying start to their first home match.

City took the lead only for Hateley's brace to give United the lead. Shaun Stanley then added a third to clinch the points.

Badsey Rgrs U-13 10,

Charlton Rvrs B 0

BEN Holland gave Rangers the perfect start with a goal after only five minutes.

Two minutes later, debutant Owen Powell doubled Badsey's lead but rusty finishing and good goalkeeping meant it was the 26th minute when Jamie Clarke made it 3-0.

Powell scored his second for a 4-0 interval lead and Badsey's finishing improved after the break when Dane Aldington (penalty), Marcus Humpstone and Adam Westmacott added their names to the list of scorers.

Powell and Clarke weren't finished, though, as both completed their hat-tricks.

Malvern Wdrs 2

THE top two sides from last season treated the spectators to a display of quality football.

Wanderers took a third minute lead but defender Ryan Ellis brought Rovers level when his shot slipped through the hands of the keeper.

A draw looked like keeping both sides happy until a Malvern substitute popped up to score the winner ten minutes from time.

Evesham Utd U-14 0, Peopleton 7

NEWLY formed Peopleton recorded another convincing win after dominating from the first whistle.

James Allan opened the scoring and a similar effort doubled the lead before Steve Aston made the interval score 3-0.

Allan then completed his treble soon after the restart, while the tantalising footwork of Alex Spencer and Will George brought the pair a goal apiece. The latter rounded off an easy win with his side's seventh.

Drakes Broughton Rgrs U-13 9,

A DOGGED Warndon proved tough to break down but goals from John Boother and Sam Hicks towards the end of the first half opened the floodgates.

Jack Holt's introduction pepped up the Drakes attack and seven goals were scored in the second period.

Aron Letterese led the way with a hat-trick, Hicks grabbed a second, while there were further goals from James Alexander (2) and Ashley Keetley.

Evesham Utd U-15 2, Peopleton 1

A LACKLUSTRE first half showing from the visitors, together with a series of fine saves from the Evesham keeper after the break, brought Peopleton's seven-match unbeaten run to an end.

United led 2-0 after 20 minutes but there was hope for the visitors when Mark Bellamy's penalty halved the deficit.

A couple of substitutions revitalised the visitors but they were unable to find the equaliser their second half display deserved.

Littleton Jnrs U-12 6, Vale Wdrs 0

LITTLETON produced a superb display of attacking football to see off their local rivals.

Luke Lowerson broke the deadlock when he cut inside from the right to fire the ball in the corner and Matt Goss then held off several challenges to set up Ben Johns for a consummate finish.

The second half was dominated by Littleton and Matt Smith made it 3-0. Goss, whose strong running caused Vale all sorts of problems, set up George Barber for the fourth before goals from Johns and Phil Davies rounded off the scoring.

Evesham Utd Robins U-10 2

THE Robins found themselves a goal behind in the opening minute and, despite having the better of the first half, then conceded another before the break.

Captain Ciaran Gilbert led the second half assault that saw Michael Savidge come off the bench to score a brace of fine long-range efforts.

Evesham were unlucky to only come away with a point having struck the woodwork on numerous occasions.

Drakes Broughton 1

THE first half was extremely competitive with both sides having opportunities to score.

However, it remained goalless and the second half started as the first half finished only for Drakes to take the lead with Daniel Wilcox scoring on his debut.

Littleton fought back hard and Wesley Burden. Continued pressure saw Burden find the net again as the hosts held on to record a hard earned win.

Evesham Utd U-13 3

UNITED visited the reigning Mercian League champions were unlucky to return home empty-handed after a battling display.

The visitors fell behind early on but recovered to equalise with a fine finishing by Jamie Kerr.

Shortly after the break, Kerr gave Evesham the lead with more good finishing, only for Newtown to level a few minutes later.

A home substitute restored his side's lead and a fortunate fourth left Evesham with a mountain to climb.

Daniel Hackling, though, made for an exciting finish when he scrambled home Evesham's third.

Inkberrow Eagles U-12 2,

Drakes Broughton 2

EAGLES secured their first league point of the season against opponents who had beaten them twice last term.

Drakes had the better of the first half down the slope and eventually took the lead ten minutes before the break.

Inkberrow started put the Drakes goal under more pressure after the restart with newcomers Ashley Birtoft and Nathan Conway performing well in midfield.

Breakwell continued to make some excellent saves but a second goal left the hosts in trouble.

However, they continued to press and were rewarded 15 minutes into the second half when last season's top scorer, Samuel Wright, opened his account for the season.

The goal gave the Eagles increased confidence and Wright grabbed the equaliser.

South Littleton U-8 2, Badsey 1

LEWIS Bastow opened the scoring with a first half goal but Sean Cooke's super solo strike levelled matters.

The second half was again evenly contested with both sides having their chances until a corner kick taken by Jordan Cowley flew straight into the net.

Evesham Utd Robins U-9 10

ROBINS got their season off to a flying start after Elliot Grady had fired them into a 2-0 lead.

Josh Downey made it 3-0 before David Stringer added a fourth following a good run and left-foot finish.

Coldrick scored with a left-foot shot to make it 5-0 at the break after which Dunnington battled bravely to get back into the game, but were unable to prevent more goals from the Robins.

Coldrick scored with a simple tap-in to make it six, with Grady completing his hat-trick following a good run and shot. Mark Washington finished off the scoring with an opportunist hat-trick.

Yarnton Boys 0

EVESHAM gained their second win of the Witney League season.

United created more chances mainly from runs by David Huggins and in-swinging corners from Adam Styles but the score remained 0 - 0 at half-time.

Evesham started to get behind the Yarnton defence and, from one such move, Daniel Mitchell latched on to a rebound to score his first goal for the club.

This opened the game up and Evesham created more and more chances and they secured the points when Styles ran on to a loose ball in the box, and shot home.

Evesham Utd Robins U-11 15

ROBINS cruised to a comfortable victory after powering forward and quickly establishing a three-goal lead through Lewis Ridley and James Martin (2).

Further goals from player of the match, David Stanier, Lewis Ridley (3), James Martin and a cheeky back heel from Jamie Wallace saw Robins go into the interval with a nine-goal lead.

There was little respite after the break as an Andrew Taylor penalty, Jack Wood, who hit a hat-trick and Rhys Eddy's first goal for the club sealed victory.
