I WOULD like to thank the people of Stourport, and visitors to the town, for their support and help towards this year's jubilee carnival.
It was a great success, and many thanks go out to all the people who made a tremendous effort with their floats, river boats and fancy dress costumes.
Also a special thank-you to the local police, fire brigade and marshalls. Without their help the carnival could not take place.
Many thousands of pounds were raised for charity and I would like to take this opportunity to invite applications from any local charities for donations.
Also a special thanks to the Shuttle/ Times and News for their excellent coverage, both before and after the carnival.
