TEWKESBURY'S Chris Pool and David Thomas made a good start in their new Sea Cadet swimming season at Hereford on Saturday, swimming for Worcester Unit at their district gala.
Both lads had returned, the day before, from a week's training in Plymouth and put in excellent performances.
David won gold in the individual 100m backstroke, freestyle and medley races. Then both joined forces with two other team mates crushing the opposition in the 4 x 50m freestyle relay, with Chris swimming an outstanding leg.
Both will be looking forward to representing their district at the South West Area gala at HMS Raleigh next month.
