A MAN was rushed to hospital in Worcester after being found collapsed at the bottom of a 30ft cliff in Stourport.
Police have launched an appeal for information in a bid to solve the mystery of what happened to him.
He was found at the foot of the cliff at about 10am on Friday near the Rock Tavern pub and taken by ambulance to hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.
An ambulance service spokeswoman said he had suffered back injuries and was having difficulty breathing.
Officers had been called out after a man was seen "wandering around houses" in the area two hours earlier after a white Citroen BX had been found abandoned in Wilden Lane.
Its windscreen was damaged and police believe it may have been involved in a crash.
The man found at the bottom of the cliff is white, about 5ft 6ins and in his early 30s. He was wearing a denim jacket and grey jogging bottoms.
Anyone with information about the incident should call Kidderminster Police on 01562 820888.
