A fuel company is to close two petrol stations - because it is struggling to compete with supermarket prices.
Stourport-based Hingley and Callow Oils has drawn up plans to close sites at Foley Park and Chaddesley Corbett.
Company director Helen Needham blamed pressure from supermarkets who sell petrol as a "loss leader" for the decision.
"We just cannot compete with supermarkets who can afford to keep petrol prices low by making the money instead on food."
Plans have been submitted to Wyre Forest District Council to turn Foley Park Garage in Stourport Road into six two-bed flats.
A scheme for Chaddesley Corbett is also on the cards.
