ATHLETICS: Amazing Feet Running Club enjoyed a good day at the popular Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon with 14 athletes joining the 1,200 runners and many recording excellent times.

The first four club runners all notched up impressive personal bests.

Chris Miles clocked one hour 22 minutes 26 seconds for 73rd position, while Brian Humphries was 79th in 1-23, John Amos 86th in 1-23-51 and Ruth Miles 308th in 1-35-28.

Lindsay Pulley, who was 715th in 1-53-39, completed his fastest half-marathon for more than 15 years.

C Miles reduced Amos' lead at the top of the inter-club race league to just six points with six races left.

R Miles is the leading lady and the next league race is the Brambles Trust 10km in Stourport at the end of the month.

Other times: Colin Lucas 418th in 1-40-14, David Pye 452nd in a personal best of 1-42-18, Richard Baker 461st in 1-42-50, Martin Childe 700th in 1-52-48, Irene Sanders 850th in 2-00-47, Eddie Sanders 851st in 2-00-47, Jane Pye 903rd in a personal best of 2-03-56, Jean Lucas 940th in 2-07-01 and Jackie Hughes 1,163rd in 2-42-26.

Rob Parr travelled to Sydney, Australia, to run 4-17 in his first marathon.
