TENNIS: County champion Tracey Powell won the ladies' singles crown at Bewdley's club finals, beating past winner Alison Rosoman.
Head coach Powell also joined junior Becky Owen to deny A-team pair Dawn Gumbley and Penny Marchant their second successive ladies' doubles title.
Prolific Powell's third title came in the mixed doubles, partnered by Geoff Vaughan, though the three-setter against Jim and Mandy Sylvester was the match of the day.
Five-times men's singles winner Nick Bell defeated J Sylvester in a tight two-set match full of attacking strokes from both players.
The men's doubles was again between Sylvester with Steve Owen and Mike Field with John Keith with the latter pair triumphing for the second year in a row.
In the handicap mixed doubles, Tony Marchant and M Sylvester beat John Philips and Jane Matthews.
Faye Trezise defeated Catherine Watton to take the girls' U-18 title for the third year in succession.
In the boys' U-18s, Paul Bennett had to concede to Paul Marchant when a set and 2-3 down, due to a back injury.
