A GIGANTIC glowing hound from Hell will be in Cheltenham to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of a fiction masterpiece.
There is no need to worry though, as the hound is not real, but a chilling stage backdrop as the Everyman Theatre recognises the centenary of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hound of the Baskervilles, which begins a new run on September 30.
The new production of the famous work has been adapted by Simon Williams and stars Daniel Hill as Dr Watson, who will be known to BBC viewers as Harvey Baines in Waiting for God.
The Hound of the Baskervilles has made numerous appearances in films and books, but this is the West End production of this gripping mystery, featuring everyone's famous deer-stalkered detective Sherlock Holmes, as he tries to solve the mystery curse which has claimed the lives of the heads of the Baskerville family.
The play runs from Monday, September 30 to Saturday, October 5. Tickets range from £6.50 to £17.50 and are available from the box office on 01242 572573 or at www.everymantheatre.org.uk.
