WYCHAVON District Council is brewing up to raise cash for cancer as it takes part in the world's biggest coffee morning.
The council is joining in the event, organised by Macmillan Cancer Relief, by staging a coffee morning at Pershore's Civic Centre.
Council chairman Coun John Smith and his wife Frances are hosting the event on Friday, September 27, from 10am to 12 noon.
The charity puts on the massive fund-raising event each year and urges groups and organisations world wide to take part.
"In the UK, four in 10 people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives and countless more will have their lives touched by this disease.
"What better way to raise money for one of the leading charities in the fight against cancer than to enjoy a cup of coffee?"
Visitors simply need to make a small donation to get a cup of coffee. They can also take part in a quiz to win a Peugeot 206.
