"You don't buy a bed without trying it," said director John Fennell.
"Buying a bath is no different. We positively encourage people to shed their coats and hop in."
Mr Fennell will be running the state-of-the-art bathroom showroom in Lowesmoor, alongside former St John's man Brian Bishop.
Between them, they have 25 years' experience in the trade and will be offering customers the choice of more than 25 complete suites, ranging from traditional Victorian and Edwardian designs to up-to-the-minute Italian creations.
Bathstore.com, which only sells white suites, but is happy to offer customers complete bathrooms or smaller pieces to fit existing rooms, opened on Monday in Lowesmoor Wharf.
