HANDS-ON experience of life at an independent Worcestershire school is on the cards for prospective pupils.

The open day at Bredon School promises as much fun as actually being a pupil there.

In addition to looking around the facilities, visiting children can take part in a range of activities from cooking to sport, while their parents chat to staff and senior pupils.

The open day takes place this Saturday, September 21, at the independent school in Bushley, near Upton-upon-Severn.

"It's an excellent opportunity for parents and children to see what the school has to offer," said organiser Doug Sharp, the school's admissions & development manager.

"Not only can parents see the recently upgraded boarding facilities, the working farm and the well-equipped sports hall, but the children can have fun, and experience just a taste of life at Bredon School."

Bredon School is a boarding and day school for children aged seven to 18.

It has 225 pupils and provides a mainstream education as well as offering special help for youngsters with specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia.

Bredon offers a broad curriculum, offering both academic and vocational qualifications.

The open day tours of the school, which are based around the picturesque Pull Court mansion, will run from 10am to 1pm.

Anybody interested in coming along is invited to call the school on 01684 293156.
