TESCO, which has stores in Warndon Villages and St Peter's, Worcester, has reported a 10 per cent increase in revenue.
Total sales across the group rose to £12.7bn, a jump of 10.6 per cent, as it benefited from strong growth in its international operations.
Tesco now runs stores in nine countries overseas, from Thailand to Poland, and the division contributed sales of £2.3bn, up 32 per cent.
All of its European businesses are now profitable and the group recently began talks with Turkish retailer Kip about a partnership in the country.
Tesco said its non-food ranges in the UK had also seen strong growth. It now accounts for 13 per cent of all UK chart music sales.
"These results show that we are delivering our programme for long-term growth," said a spokesman.
"All four elements of the strategy remain the same - a strong UK core, non-food growth, retailing services and international expansion."
