TENDER loving care and plenty of watering has helped children from Rubery use flower power to help needy youngsters.
Tots at Hollymoor Community Nursery, off Tessall Lane, have taken part in a sponsored sunflower growing event to raise cash for victims of drought in Third World countries.
They have each been sponsored to grow the plants and all cash is going to the Water Aid charity, which works to improve the lives of children in Africa and India.
The nursery's deputy manager, Gillian Hands, said the highest plant is 31 inches.
"Around 15 children have supported the event which is for an excellent cause and had helped them learn more about planting seeds and gardening," she added.
