THERE was plenty to get steamed up about when folk flocked to Hanbury for the village's annual steam rally.

There was a huge variety of displays at the two day event, which was held behind the Vernon Arms pub.

Items on show included steam engines, organs, tractors, motorbikes and vintage, veteran and classic cars.

The sun shone on both the Saturday and Sunday and around 3,000 people enjoyed the event, which had to be held in Worcester last year due to the foot and mouth epidemic.

The Lincoln County Regulators Wild West Show also rode into town where rough, tough cowboys were ready to fight.

In between their shoot outs they talked to the crowds about life in the Wild West.

Other attractions included a dog agility display and a Viking living history re-enactment.

Event organiser Keith Shakespeare said: "Over the past few years the show has been affected by foot and mouth and the weather so, I'd say, this year's rally was probably the most successful yet. We had in excess of 600 exhibitors from all over the UK, which was great, and we hope to return next year with an even better two day event."
