MRS Jenny Davidson was the guest speaker at the September meeting of Chaddesley Corbett WI.
The title of her talk was Batik but, to the enjoyment of members, she revealed many amusing incidents in her life from her schooldays to the present.
Mrs Davidson's talents as an artist were in no doubt as she showed us many examples of her exquisite work. She has had exhibitions in London and many other venues, and has sold a great deal of her batik work.
Barbara Evans gave the vote of thanks.
The evening began with president Sylvia Beardshaw welcoming members and announcing many forthcoming events.
On Wednesday, September 25 we are visiting Wolverley Arboretum and the following month, Tuesday, October 22, sees us off to the Worcester Commandery for the day.
Business continued with arrangements for our annual general meeting and craft and produce show, where members can exhibit home-made jams, chutneys, knitwear and many other craft associated with the WI.
Social time with coffee and biscuits concluded the evening.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday, October 2, at the village hall as usual.
