IN July, Julian Thake informed us that Jordan, Kuwait and Qatar were willing to provide bases for an American assault on Iraq.
Now according to recent BBC news, while our own Government is still undecided, America is more likely to go ahead with the invasion of Iraq unilaterally and without a UN mandate.
I wonder if Mr Thake was kite-flying when he made this statement?
