DEAR EDITOR - The organisers of the 2002 North Worcestershire Bikeathon would like to thank everyone who helped to make the event held on September 8 such a great success.
We would particularly like to thank our sponsors NatWest Bank and Hammond Suddards Edge; the owner of Mere Hall for allowing us to use his land; Speeds Cycles, Baylis', Halfords and other shops for taking entries; West Mercia Police; St John Ambulance; Centech of Aston Fields and all the marshals including Rotarians and Lions. the Advertiser/Messenger's help in promoting the event was also invaluable
Of course, the Bikeathon could not have taken place without the enthusiasm and support of the 550 plus cyclists from all over Worcestershire and beyond who enjoyed a wonderful day out with marvellous weather and pledged more than £20,000 to the LRF.
Thank you everyone for your support.
Sue Knoll,
secretary,
LRF Bromsgrove and District Branch.
