FAIRFIELD Villa bowed out of the President's Cup in the first round last Saturday after a 2-0 defeat at home to Thimblemill REC.
Both sides cancelled each other out early on and chances were limited with both sets of forwards showing little firepower in front of the goal.
Villa fell behind 60 seconds into the second half when a Leon Mooney left side cross was headed home at the far post by substitute Darren Fry.
Twelve minutes later Villa fell further behind when the visitors scored an identical goal, again Fry heading home past Adie Summers from Mooney's cross.
Villa are in cup action again this Saturday, entertaining Feckenham in the Endsleigh Challenge Cup.
