EIGHT parishes withdraw their funds from the diocese and talk of forming a breakaway church. Every churchgoer in Worcester should give that much thought.
The Diocese of New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, and its Bishop, proudly proclaim it is the first Diocese in the worldwide Anglican Communion (C of E) voting to give "blessings" in church to practising homosexuals and lesbians.
The Diocese of New Westminster has 40 parishes, eight is one fifth of that number. Imagine the consequences to Worcester Diocese, if one fifth of more than 300 parishes withdrew their quota. Remember, one has already done so. One parish in Kidderminster has left the Diocese.
What the vast majority of Church of England churchgoers are totally unaware of, is that before very long, because of the homosexual problem, the worldwide Anglican Communion could disintegrate.
Already, African and Asian bishops, especially Bishop Tay of Singapore, are talking and threatening to leave the authority of Canterbury and the Church of England and form a New Breakaway Anglican Church.
Church of England churchgoers in the Diocese of Worcester should start thinking seriously on this matter - now
