THE BODY of a Kidderminster man was discovered hanging from a tree by a postman.
John Hughes had a history of suffering from depression, said Worcestershire coroner Victor Round.
"In July 2002, his mood had become very low," added Mr Round at an inquest at County Hall.
"His GP had changed his medication but without success.
"He had an appointment to see a consultant psychiatrist on Monday, August 5 but he did not keep it.
"Eventually, he was seen at home and was judged not to be an immediate risk."
Mr Hughes, aged 27 of Habberley Street, Kidderminster, had last been seen alive by his mother on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 10.
"Then, on Wednesday, September 11, a postman found him hanging by his neck from a branch of a tree in woods off Puxton Drive in Kidderminster," said Mr Round.
"The cause of death was hanging but no note has been found yet."
The inquest was adjourned.
