Yesterday Malvern Fire Brigade, in the tournament at Charlbury Park, near Oxford, won no less than five first prizes and one second out of the six events in which they were entered. They competed against a number of the smartest brigades in the Midlands, and the fact that they practically swept the board reflects the highest credit on the men. Malvern Gazette, August 29, 1902.

The committee of Dymock and District Horticultural Society are to be congratulated upon another very successful show. The display of the produce of this fertile district on Thursday last was quite up to previous years, especially in the Cottagers' Class, where some of the finest vegetables were displayed. At the invitation of Mr and Mrs Hoyle, Southlea, Albert Road South, Peter Wallfisch, a young Israeli pianist, has been spending the last three months holidaying in Malvern and latterly putting in two or three hours' intensive practice each morning in readiness for his forthcoming European tour, which begins next Wednesday. AN improved system of delivering telegrams from local villages is operating in the Ledbury area. Hitherto, they had been been delivered from Bosbury, Canon Frome, Eastnor and Bromesberrow after being telephoned from Ledbury. Now they are delivered by postmen on motorcycles from Ledbury Post Office. Ledbury Reporter, September 5, 1952.

Malvern Trades Council has been assured that the construction of new buildings at RSRE will not present hazards to road safety in Graham Road. The Trades Council had been concerned about the possible dangers to children attending the Chase High School, with heavy lorries going to and from from the site. Malvern Gazette, September 1, 1977.

Ledbury Carnival trebled its support in its third year of revival on Monday. Estimates of the number of people who flooded on to the showground topped the 6,000 mark and the streets were jam-packed with cars. It was a resounding triumph for the Carnival Committee.
