THE United Kingdom Polocrosse Association are holding their national Championships at Fish Meadows, Upton, tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.

The sport is a mixture of polo and lacrosse and the event will see more than 200 riders take part, many from local clubs including Centaur and Pegasus Croome, and riders from several local Pony Clubs.

Polocrosse is a great spectator sport showing both skill and agility of both the player and rider and has been described as 'King of the one horse sports'.

The event, which is the largest and grand finale of the season, starts with a grand parade at 8.30am on Saturday with play starting at 9.30am. On Sunday play starts at 8am with the finals in the afternoon.
