MONTHS of planning paid off in style over the Bank Holiday weekend, as hundreds of visitors flocked to Cradley Music Festival.
The three-day event was blessed with good weather as musicians, singers, craftspeople and members of the public enjoyed a wide range of the arts at Church Stile Farm.
The event, which had been in planning since February, was held as part of the Three Choirs Fringe Festival and raised more than £3,000 for the Village Hall Restoration Fund. Judi Creed-Newton, chairman of the fundraising committee and part of the organisational team, said the event had gone very well.
"We had a great mix of music for all tastes," she said.
"I think around 400 people attended; we could tell the way the pig roast sold out!"
Visitors were treated to music from a host of groups, among them The Chase Brass Band, The Woodies, Bransford Singers, Malvern Male Voice Choir, John Masefield School Choir, The Pedigrees and many more.
Ms Creed-Newton said that feedback from the public and performers alike had been very positive.
"This is the first time we've had anything as ambitious as a three-day festival," she said.
"Every single act was greeted with great applause and enthusiasm."
